🏦 What the bank asks (and why)

ESG scoring has entered the credit process: understanding the request is half the answer.

What is happening

European banks must assess the climate risks of their clients: this is a regulatory requirement (EBA), not a trend. This is why more and more institutions are combining economic evaluation with ESG scoring — and they feed it with data they request from you: energy consumption, emissions, environmental policies, sometimes an entire questionnaire.

Why it pays to respond well

The quality of your response can affect loan conditions and access to credit. And the data you prepare for the bank is the same that lead clients and buyers will ask for: collecting it once, properly, serves three purposes.

Where to start

From the sources you already have: utility bills, disposal records, production logs. A certification task on Simbial pairs you with an Impact Controller who transforms those documents into verifiable indicators — and the bank's answer becomes a by-product of your own register.
